The Art Blog of Max Acree. It may or may not feature robots of unusual size. Unless I say otherwise in the post or it is an obvious reblog (I don't delete the history), everything you see here was created by me.
Some more Hexels art. This one is from a weekly art blog we’re keeping at work with the topic “sparkling rust.” It’s a dead robot in a jungle pool, because that’s a thing that happens. Also, drawn with a standard mouse, like a boss.
Decided to redraw the M&PS cover because I wasn’t happy with the composition. I’m trying to work out a graphic way of integrating sound effects into the motion lines. I am concerned with it getting too busy, so we’ll see if ends up sticking around.
Pencils and early logo treatment for the cover of a comic project I’m thinking of pitching to Image and/or doing as a webcomic. It’s about two ladies who go around doing cartography on alien planets in a quirky 4WD Space Rover.
The problem with spiral bound sketchbooks is that you have to tear your pages out to scan them if you don’t want to end up with a bunch of sweet shadows on the edges.
